Nyeri Deputy Governor Launches Facility Equipped by Safaricom Foundation

Nyeri Deputy Governor H.E. Dr. Caroline Karugu on Wednesday launched a Nyeri Hospice inpatient wing fully equipped by Safaricom Foundation under the NDOTO ZETU Initiative. She said the newly equipped facility will go a long way in ensuring that the county’s palliative care patients have a comfortable environment for recuperation.

Dr. Karugu explained how she learnt of the NDOTO ZETU Initiative during a courtesy call to Safaricom Foundation Chairman Joseph Ogutu and resolved to ensure Nyeri County organizations took advantage of it: “One such organization is the Nyeri Hospice which today has had their inpatient wing fully equipped by the Safaricom Foundation.”

The Deputy Governor thanked Safaricom Foundation and committed to use her office to scout more partnerships to help in transforming the lives of Nyeri County Residents. “Our profound gratitude goes to the Safaricom Foundation through their Chairman. To all of you at the Safaricom Foundation, “Asanteni sana kwa kutimiza NDOTO ZETU.”
