Did Raila Try Using Kwale Senator’s Mom to Change his Revenue Formula Vote?

Kwale County Senator Issa Juma Boy

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga may have reached out to the mother of Kwale Senator Issa Juma Boy on Tuesday hoping to use her to convince her son to vote against the Senators Sakaja Johnson and Mithika Linturi’s Proposed Revenue Sharing Formula but she flatly refused, according to Dennis Itumbi.

If this allegation is true, it means ODM Leader Raila Odinga may be against the WIN-WIN Revenue Sharing Formula arrived at by the Senators even as he publicly supported consultations between Senators. The Senate has been unable to agree on the Revenue Formula for a record 8 sessions.

In a post on his Facebook Account, Digital Strategist Itumbi claimed that Issa Juma’s mum was shocked by Raila’s request and refused to interfere in the legislator’s official duties “As his mother, I only reach out to him on family matters, but not his Senate job and vote, there I am served like all other County Residents,” Itumbi quotes.
